Trying to find a good alarm for your home is tough. This is your family we’re talking about, so buying a random security system off the internet just won’t cut it. You want the best alarm and the best service – you want only the best for your family!

I had been surfing around the net researching different companies to sign with; FrontPoint, Protect America, ADT… Different systems and definitely different service. For me, I prioritized service and quality. I decided to research these 3 companies because they are the “big” names in question in Home Security. I justified ruling out the smaller competitors because 1: They don’t have the number of years in experience 2: They will have more glitches in their system due to this lack of experience 3: They’re probably just less knowledgeable about Home Security in general. Here are a few things I discovered about Service Quality, and Product Quality,

Service Quality: ADT reviews was first, and the quality of service is big for me. If I need help with the system I need to know my provider will be there, so I did some online research for this including the BBB – Better Business Bureau. They had a whopping 96 “unassigned” customer service complaints. I didn’t like this at all. How can a company ignore 96 complaints? Their installation fee was kind of a downer for me. A bit pricey just for installing, but ok if they get it hooked up and running. Then I went through ADT reviews, and endless ADT complaints. The one that stuck with me the most was one where a customer wrote that their system wasn’t even fully installed, nor did ADT try contacting the customer after their rear door sensor went off. I read this type of complaint from more than 1 customer. How can you claim that you’re a home security company when you don’t even answer your sensor when it’s screaming “break-in!!”? Maybe ADT was breaking for lunch? Then I found out that ADT is fairly new to wireless, and hardwired is usually what they do. I’m definitely not into hardwired systems because we have squirrels; and squirrels chew wires. They last thing I needing a technician to come out numerous times to fix squirrel damage! I’d rather not have countless hundred dollar invoices. So this is my conclusion on ADT. 1) Terrible reviews on BBB 2) they don’t specialize in wireless and 3) bad customer service reviews. So, ADT is not the kind of protection I wanted for my family.

After being completely unimpressed with ADT, I had high hopes for Protect America. An all wireless alarm system! I instantly scratched them from my list. If you google Protect America Reviews, you’ll find an endless stream of complaints. If you check them out on the BBB you’ll see an OCEAN of complaints! Literally hundreds! Their monitoring and customer service is terrible! For me, I’m going to have home security for the rest of my life, and with Protect America, I’d have a pretty miserable life. So Protect America is not the company for me – end of discussion.

Like all companies you’re going to have happy and unhappy customers. People are needy, and greedy, so it is almost impossible for a home security company to have a clean slate; however, by doing your research (and hopefully my blog has helped as well) you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for in one complete alarm company. This is exactly what I found in this next security company – Frontpoint. I am willing to spend my hard earned money on my family – protecting them – for life, but if I’m paying my hard earned money, I had better get best in service and product quality; FrontPoint Security.

FrontPoint Security Reviews are beyond amazing! Don’t take my word for it though, google them and you’ll see nothing but A’s across the board. Their BBB status is almost flawless with only 8 complaints to date. Protect America & ADT have hundreds! Sure, the bigger companies may have more customers, but if you look closely at Protect America, they virtually have 1 complaint a day.

Liking what I saw, I gave FrontPoint a call. Excellent saleswoman – Tamika, and very professional. She knew home security as if she had invented it. I was definitely excited talking to her on the phone…until we got to the ‘self-install’ part. I expressed my concerns of installing it wrong, but she assured me it was literally as simple as sticking your toddler’s drawing to the fridge! She also gave me her personal contact information so that if I had any problems I could call her directly. Now that’s customer service! I was still afraid of the self-install, but the 30 day risk free trial made me more than willing to buy – I was excited! Then we got to the monitoring rate, and after she explained everything that was included I was convinced this was more value for the dollar!

Product Quality is also outstanding with this company. They have something the other home security companies don’t have – the Crash & Smash feature. This is an added layer of protection. If a burglar comes in and smashes your system a signal is immediately sent, and waits for you to enter the code. If no code is entered, the system treats it as an intrusion. Other home security companies don’t have this feature. If the system suddenly goes out, it’s treated as a ‘non-priority signal’ and no one is notified. Their excuse is, “it could have been a power outage”(or maybe a squirrel). FrontPoint’s Crash & Smash feature is what sold me; peace of mind is what they’re giving me. This made me feel great! Price wasn’t really an issue, but we all feel good when we get the best deal…and FrontPoint is the best home security deal for me.

In addition, I found out I can control my lights & room temperature from my phone – from anywhere! If I’m on vacation, I can flick my lights on and off as if someone was in the house – awesome! Tamika was so helpful and we chatted a lot during our phone call, it felt like I was her only customer – nothing I had expected to experience from a nation wide company. One-on-one service, and the best I’ve had.

After I received the system, and before I even opened the box, I called FrontPoint – like I said, the self install scared me :) Tamika talked me through the first couple steps, and after realizing it really is as easy as sticking a stamp on an envelope I let her go and finished it myself – even more satisfaction! I can’t believe ADT charges for such an easy task, but I guess that’s how they rack up your invoice. FrontPoint isn’t into deceit or lies like some of other home security companies. Their theory is a SAFER – SMARTER – SIMPLER alarm system. They have smarter GE equipment, safer monitoring and simpler installation (which isn’t even ‘installation’, you just plug it in and go!).

It’s been a month and a half since our system’s been up and running, and so far so good. Tamika even called to follow up with me. She asked if everything was ok and if I needed anything else. Exceptional customer service. I love FrontPoint; they really do treat you like family.

*Plus, there are no wires for the squirrels to chew :)

And if you decide to go with FrontPoint please let them know I sent you!
